Cloth Road Arts Week, 3rd - 11th May 2008

South West Illustrator Jan Nesbitt will be exhibiting as part of the

Cloth Road Art Week.

Running between Saturday 3rd May and Sunday 11th May 2008 the Art trail will showcase some 80 artists and makers at 34 different venues, many in their own studios around the West Wiltshire area.

Babette Cole - SCBWI Conference at Bologna Book Fair

South West illustrators member Babette Cole gave a wonderful talk at the SCBWI conference in Bologna.
'Every Picture tells a Story' started with very funny anecdotes about her life and work with slides of illustrations from of her books and some wonderful (rarely seen) paintings of the West Indies. She followed this with a serious plea for us all to do all we can to improve the sorry standard of literacy amongst some of our children and young adults and rounded off with a hilarious description of the series of the extraordinarily different pony stories that she is currently writing for Bloomsbury.
