Newbridge Arts Trail is a new, annual event in which artists living in the Newbridge area of Bath open their homes/studios to the public. The event will showcase a diverse range of art in a variety of media, much of which will be offered for sale. Visitors can see the work, talk to the artists and have an insight into their creative processes.

On the Saturday, for one day only, everyone is invited to join the Chelsea (Rd) Arts Club. To become a member, simply drop in to Picnics Café and do a drawing. All ages and abilities are welcome – and materials will be provided. Open from 10.00am until 4.00pm, with a special deal on coffee and cake for all participants. Come before going on the trail, to pick up a map and get into a creative mood. Come after visiting the artists, full of inspiration to make your own art.

Karen Wallis, who will be running the Chelsea (Rd) Arts Club says: “We will be giving a special welcome to Newbridge Councillor Loraine Brinkhurst when she officially opens the Newbridge Arts Trail at 10.00am. Perhaps we may even get a visit or two, during the day, from members of the prestigious (and real) Chelsea Arts Club of London.

A printed trail map showing all locations is available from the Bath Library, from Frontier Picture Frames in Locksbrook Road or from the Chelsea Café, Picnics Delicatessen and the Bath Bakery in Chelsea Road. It can also be downloaded from http://www.newbridgeartstrail.co.uk/
