After a little gentle pestering, the acclaimed Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory theatre company have allowed me to sit in on their rehearsals for King Lear so that I can sketch them. I asked to do this partly as a technical exercise, but hopefully it'll also turn into a nice document of the production which I can exhibit at the theatre.
I've just finished my second week of 4 - you can see all my rehearsal pictures (as well as some pictures of cartoon animals) on my blog, http://samchurch.blogspot.com/
In the meantime King Lear starts on Feb 9th (followed by a production of Chekhov's 'The Cherry Orchard'), and I strongly recommend getting tickets - in this humble scribe's opinion it's shaping up to be a bit special...
