Jane Veveris Callan's Gorilla voted public favourite.

The gorilla 'Five Minutes to Midnight' designed and painted by Swillustrator Jane Veveris Callan, for the Great Gorillas project in the English Riviera, has recently been voted as the public's favourite by readers of the Torquay Herald Express.

Jane visited Paignton Zoo last week to spruce the gorilla up for the grand charity auction. The public art project has been on the streets of Paignton, Torquay and Exeter this summer, raising awareness of the plight of endangered Western Lowland Gorillas, and raising funds for conservation projects.

The gorillas will be auctioned at the Palace Theatre, Paignton on 6th November. Tickets are still available to attend  the Auction  if ordered by today 30th October, and telephone or proxy bidding interest must be registered by 12 noon on 6th November.
Proceeds from the sale of 'Five minutes to midnight' will be going to Children's Hospice South West a wonderful local charity nominated by the gorilla's sponsor, SW legal firm Wollen Michelmore.

Great recognition, and well deserved. Your Gorilla looks wonderful! I am sure it will raise good money for the hospice.
