Elephant Parade Artbox contest shortlist

SWillustrator  Jane Veveris Callan has had her design 'Matriarch' short listed in the Elephant Parade artbox contest.

Judges from Elephant Parade Bangkok short listed 10 designs from over 500 entries. The public will vote for their favourite via Facebook and the winner's design will be created on one of the 99 life size elephant sculptures that will form the parade in Bangkok from 1st December 2015. The winner will also be flown to Bangkok to see the launch of the parade.

You can vote for Jane's design  at Elephant Parade fan page
until 27th May.

'Matriarch' ( the name of the oldest female member of an elephant family group) is inspired by the city of Bangkok, and shows it's modern skyscrapers and ancient temples, with trees rising out of the city. The trees are gold to signify raised awareness and funds raised by the parade to support elephant conservation and the green leaves  represent the hope of saving the elephants natural habitat.
